Judges Bio: Stephanie Cochran, Sculptor
Stephanie Cochran earned her bachelor’s degree in glass and sculpture from Anderson University in 2013. She then received her MFA from Herron School of Art and Design in 2016 in sculpture and public art. As a practicing sculptor, Cochran’s work frequently incorporates her glass practice with found industrial and non-traditional art materials. Through this unique range of media, her work endeavors to honor the natural world, depicting living organisms as her subject matter. Many of her created pieces reference insects, and botanical themes. Her versatility allows her to produce her work in both human scale, as well as large architectural installations.
In 2019 she left her position from the Anderson Museum of Art. As an educator, she continues to promote the visual art through her work at the post-secondary level as an adjunct professor at Ivy Tech.
