Macey Smith College Thesis Show
April 25 - April 30
Macey Smith of Indianapolis, Indiana is a technical and expressive member of the photography field. Smith works with a vision in her mind and uses that to get to her end goal as an artist. As an only child growing up in her hometown of Pendleton, ideas of new places, experiences, and visages influence her artwork. She implores the mixture of memory and intertwines it with the conceptual creating of her images. She uses her own experiences from her roots and comfort to create a personal and unique view of memories of her own life.
Smith’s artwork will be on display in her hometown, Gallery 119, in late April 2019 to pay homage and celebrate her Pendleton background. Smith plans to continue her studies in the Art Therapy graduate program at Herron School of Art + Design in Indianapolis after her graduation with a BFA in Photography and Pre-Art Therapy certificate from the same academic institution in early May 2019.
